Good job! So….you didn't carve pumpkins growing up in SA, and I'm guessing it's not a normal practice in Japan is it? How did this come about? There has to be a fun story!

yeah, pumpkin carving isn't huge in SA. in fact, the whole “halloween”-thing only caught on in my student years as an excuse for a party (read: an excuse to dress up and get wasted).i think i'll dedicate a post to this whole experience – when i get back from work.(PS. i'm in Taiwan whispers: not the same as Japan)
